Fresh Paint!
After all the hours spent getting the rust removed and the car straight and gaped correctly, it was so nice to finally get some colour on this beauty!
The colour is from the modern BMW palate called Carbon-Schwarz Metallic. It looks black in the shade but as soon as the sun shines it transforms to a midnight blue.
Unlike modern cars that are sprayed by robots with about one and a half coats of paint, Von Trapp has 5 coats of clear on top of the 2 coats of base colour!
